AmeliCA vs Plan S: Same target, two different strategies to achieve Open Access. – AmeliCA
I have to share this awesome announcement of AmeliCA, a new strategy towards achieving Open Access from Latin America. This is a strong new plan, set on bold principles, and from my perspective makes Plan S look relatively weak. Perhaps the biggest implication that I can gather from this post is the clear prioritising of knowledge and publishing as a public good, rather than something that should be propping up the profits of an archaic industry.
